Travelling through bonnie wee Scotland by Jeep for 2 weeks. Arrived in Edinburgh during the Fringe (Edinburgh Festival) stayed here for a few days and then drove upwards to the North. What a country, beautiful, it's like you're in a different country every hour. The variety of country-sides is amazing. The weather was great, we only had one night of rain. Unfortunately during the night in which we had set up our tent, so we stayed in the tent for 14 hours after a BBQ under our umbrella. This was great fun. Ardvreck Castle (or what's left of it)

One night in a tent, the rest of the nights we spent in B&B's. It's funny when you spent each night in a different place, after a few nights you get confused "where did we stay 2 nights ago?" we thought it would be a good idea to write it all down. The B&B's are great, some better than other, naturally. People are so friendly, if you ask them something they make sure they tell you all. Mostly the B&B's are run by elderly women with a very helpfull husband. Bay near Durness

We've had HAGGIS!!! And it wasn't too bad after all. We ate a lot during our vacation, as one does, but we also hiked a lot. Fish & chips, food in pubs, outside, in bed, but also in some of the finest (fish-) restaurants. Full English breakfast, not all the time: a little too much to handle. No MacDonalds and lots of salt&vinegar crisps!
